The J&J Power Deluxe set was designed for the player who demands superior net tightening capability, maximum play out of the net, and ease of assembly. The Power Deluxe set uses a Carron 32' x 36" nylon flexibar treated power net with a 2" white band all around. The net uses a 3/16" top cable and 1/8" coated bottom cable and has end pockets to accept web tensioning dowels.
Similar to the Deluxe set, initial net tensioning of the Power Deluxe set is accomplished through the 3 adjustable guy ropes per pole standard. After the tension on the guy ropes are equalized and the poles are in the desired position, the two ratchet winches can be used to fine tune the tension of both the top & bottom cable. For maximum play out of the net, a 36" dowel rod and two webbing tensioners are used to stretch each end of the net to the nearby pole standard.

The Power Deluxe set had the highest net tension rating of all sets tested by "Volleyball Monthly" magazine. Their 5 lb suspended weight test at the midspan of our net system produced only 2" of total deflection. Most competitive systems were not even close. The Power Deluxe set uses the finest outdoor net that Carron offers, providing a 3/16" top cable and 1/8" bottom cable. In addition to the superior top and bottom cable system, this net uses wear resistant white herculite bindings all around the nylon webbing.
The Power Deluxe uses one 1100 lb tensile strength ratchet winch for the top cable and a 2nd 1100 lb ratchet winch for the bottom cable. This allows quick and easy tensioning of the top and bottom cable tension for optimal equalized play out of the net. The side bindings of this net provide built-in pockets for the webbing tensioning dowels. These built-in dowels are a perfect compliment to the adjustable velcro webbing tensioning straps. The ratchet winches and velcro tensioning straps can be readjusted in seconds to insure consistent play over long use periods.
When comparing pole standards of competitors', you will most likely be comparing 2-1/4" or 2-3/8" aluminum poles compared to J&J's 2" steel poles. Again, if weight is your primary concern, we encourage you to purchase a competitive set. But if net tension and corresponding dig out the net is your primary concern, our 2" steel pole will provide a stiffer net tensioning backbone.
